Dr. Joy Fun
-Dr. Joy Fun also graduated from Parker University. During her internship, she was selected to work in an exclusive program at the Garland Veterans Administration Hospital. During her time at the VA, Dr. Fun experienced many challenging cases, really enjoyed her time treating and, getting to know our countries veterans. After leaving the VA, Dr. Fun realized that she wanted to focus on treating families and helping people through every aspect of life.
- Dr. Fun received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Analytical studies from Assumption University in Worcester Massachusetts. After graduating, she moved to Texas to work for the City of Austin, testing water purification. She soon found that the job was not as active as she would like and decided to get her radiologic technician license. This then led her to be an x-ray technician for a chiropractic office in Austin. She was so inspired, seeing how happy patients were when they would leave and, how much their spines physically changed through X-ray, that she decided to move to Dallas to attend chiropractic school.
-Dr. Fun grew up in Salem, Massachusetts where she was a lifelong athlete, playing soccer and running track until she graduated from college. Her first time going to a chiropractor was at the age of 19 when she hurt her back weightlifting. Though this was not her inspiration to become a chiropractor, when she started getting consistently adjusted she felt as though she was able to perform better and heal faster. Overall, Dr. Fun decided to become a chiropractor because she wants to bring people more happiness, make people feel heard, and give people a better quality of life.
-Dr. Fun is married with two dogs and loves doing pilates and playing video games in her spare time.
